5 Most Famous Robots of the World

You will be able to program a robot to follow a track on the ground and manipulate a hand. You can also write little programs that will give the robots goals.

Seriously, the best thing about machines or ‘a’ machine that is, would be if they could perform just about any task on their own, I mean where you don’t even have to press a button. They would walk on their own, talk on their own and what not. Such machines have been created time and time again and of course are called robots. But amongst such robotic machines, there have been such ‘robot celebrities’ which are known and are famous (to date) for their characters, and their names are their identity.

Here are 5 of the most famous robots of all times…

Robocop

Robocop

Its name tells all. Robocop is one of the most famous robots of all times. It was introduced to the world in the year 1987. Its idea had first occurred to Paul Verhoeven who made sure the concept in his mind was clear to its constructor. This robot was meant to be really tough and mean. Robocop was everything you can expect from a normal robot. Because it consisted of oil coolers, radiators and heat exchangers, everything you will find on that robot only that you should know where to look. But what made it the most famous in the world was its unique attributes! Its core arms are three 20mm cannons, two on the left limb and one on the right upper limb. The left arm contains two peripheral high-capacity missiles magazines and the right arm which snapped into place when the guns are armed. It also used its gun shell to position down and shift upward again to uppercut its foes as it did. But that was not all about it. It also consisted of a three-round rocket launcher on its right arm and twin launchers for mortar rounds and gas grenades behind its head. Its body was real steel! Thus, this one of a kind, stylish and most elegant master piece was loaded with handy weapons from assault cannon, rocket launcher and a jet pack.

Terminator

Terminator

Now here is what you call, the star of all robots, ‘the Terminator’. Like its name, at its launch, it simply finished off all other robots or robotic concepts for a long long time. The terminator is a self-directed robot, characteristically humanoid. It was basically formulated as a practically resilient combatant and assassin, as well as an undercover agent. Its design was such that it could converse in nature; duplicate others’ voices, interpret scripts, and even genuinely sweat, smell, and bleed. For Terminator detections, dogs were used to alert humans of their presence. A Terminator can bear up average 20th century firearms, smash through walls unharmed, and endure blasts to some degree. There is just constant shotgun firing can knock it down and momentarily immobilize it.

Robot Andrew

Robot-Andrew

More famous as the ‘Bicentennial Man’, Andrew was a humanoid military robot. It was not any soldier, or an armed or a fully equipped robot. It was just a robot, but like a human, with human feelings. Perhaps that is why it was most popular among every age group. It was built with a vision, that a robot may not harm a human. It was meant to obey human beings, whatever order they may give. But it was also to protect itself. This protection of itself and not even harming the humans was the conflicting element. That is how Andrew, being a humanoid robot requested a robotic surgeon to get upgraded. Getting itself upgraded meant getting into a perfect shape, getting extra gadgets, accessories and the positron brain altered. Its stress was to get protective clothing under pragmatic surroundings. It got itself a very nicely finished plastic and metals’ body. Built into the head were electronic servos for the eye lids and eye brows to be able to move for expressions. Andrew, with his new body, studied robotic-biology – the science of organic robots. Thus, Andrew gets a system permitting androids to eat food like humans – solely for the purpose of becoming more like a person.

Robot B9

Robot-B9

The B-9 robot was recognized and addressed simply as a “Robot”. It was a machine endowing with prodigious power and advanced armaments. Although it too displayed human-like characteristics, such as laughter, sadness, and mockery even singing and playing the guitar. Robot B-9 was physically a glass bubble feeler component with a stirring receiver. It had a fluted, semi-transparent circular collar, with a display of shaped ribs. It had a cylindrical, revolving chest division with expanding arms that completed in scarlet reflex claws. B-9 possessed such powerful computers that enabled it to make intricate calculation and construe many facts. It had a range of sensors that perceived various occurrences and threats. It was highly programmed with wide-ranging awareness and information on countless subjects’ matter, together with how to activate a spaceship. Its structure allowed it to function in tremendous atmospheres and in the vacuity of space. It was exceptionally tough, to perform complex labor and in combating when required. Additionally, its arms contained fiery laser beams and a powerful “electro-force” that was similar to arcing voltage.

Marvin the Paranoid Android

Marvin-Paranoid-Android

This one is one of my favorites, and definitely the most interesting one. Marvin, the robot claimed to be 50,000 times more intellectual and intelligent than a human. Why?! Because it had a “brain of the size of a planet” which it seldom had to use or ever given a chance to use. One can define Marvin as a robot; as a perfunctory apparatus designed to do the work of a man. Scientific personalities call it as ‘Your Plastic Pal Who’s Fun to Be With.’ Although, there is one resilient rule which states that a depressed Marvin could never be destroyed. The only thing that could ever shut him up was probably the steel jaws of a crusher machine coming together on its shiny metal head. Marvin’s main goals in life were to stay depressed and, more importantly, to make everyone around know it, and no doubt to make them depressed too. The effect was a laugh uprising, of course! He was too funny to be in his persistent mood of moaning and groaning and talking to mattresses while walking around them. Marvin was basically a comic relief. Marvin was a slave, a lapdog, a master piece to be fluent in over six million forms of communication and yet convey depression in all of themJ.

West Indies Day Parade

This is an example of a people who are in tune with communal celebration of life. A life of struggle and oppression leading to depression with nothing left but god's blessing to be alive and to share their gift of colors, sounds and beauty giving to them by the high creator. A joy that only comes from the intangible spirit radiating through a tangible construct. this is a shining example of a people that truly are gods people. Making something literally out of nothing. they can smile and share their love and peace, while knowing that no improvement of their condition will come from their gift to society. I love my peoples.

On the other hand they are some freaky ladies knowing they are contributing to the exploitation of women as sexual objects and I just adore these fine ladies for this. Black women are so radiant.

How To Seal A Bag And Make It Air-Tight

How To Seal A Bag And Make It Air-Tight

Very good idea for picnics!!!

The guy who first thought of the idea must be given an award for  originality!!!
Wow, what a fantastic idea!  Do not  have to grapple with rubber bands that are tied too tightly.

How to seal  a bag and make it air-tight!

Cut up a  disposable water bottle and keep the neck and  top, as in  photo.

Insert the plastic bag through  the neck and screw the top – to seal.

The bottle is made to be  air-tight, such that water will not leak, the secret lies with the top  and screw!

This is a great idea to share. Good for us and the environment too.

10 Famous Female Bank Robbers

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were well-known outlaws, robbers and criminals. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed in Louisiana by law officers.
Law enforcement officials had dubbed Sylvete Phylis Gilbert the “Church Lady Bandit” as a witness said she looked like someone who had just come from church.
Heather Johnston and Ashley Miller quickly became known as the “Barbie Bandits”.
Kate “Ma” Barker was the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker Gang.
Martinez was dubbed the “Cell Phone Bandit” for chatting on the phone with her boyfriend during the heists, which netted the couple $48,620.

1. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were well-known outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. Their exploits captured the attention of the American public during the “public enemy era” between 1931 and 1934. Though known today for his dozen-or-so bank robberies, Barrow in fact preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations. The gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed in Louisiana by law officers. Their reputation was cemented in American pop folklore by Arthur Penn’s 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

2. Sylvete Phylis Gilbert

Sylvete Phylis Gilbert, 46, finally got caught after a long string of bank robberies in the Columbus, Ohio area. Law enforcement officials had dubbed her the “Church Lady Bandit” because a witness in one of her early robberies said she looked like someone who had just come from church. She was charged on 12 second-degree felony counts of robbery and 12 counts of robbery in the third degree for robbing numerous banks and businesses between January, 2006 and December, 2010.

3. Cora Hubbard

Cora Hubbard was a 19th century outlaw who participated in the August 17, 1897 robbing of the McDonald County Bank in Pineville, Missouri. Hubbard, who was compared at the time to the more prolific female outlaw Belle Starr, was one of only a handful of women who actively participated in the actual bank robbery process during that era.

4. Starlet Bandit

In just one week in April, she robbed five banks in Los Angeles County, including two in one day. Law enforcement authorities gave the glamorous nickname despite her frumpy appearance — a casually dressed, hefty woman in sunglasses, carrying a shoulder bag and holding a cell phone to one ear. In May, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told the Los Angeles Daily News that two women were in custody in the case and investigators believe that the Starlet Bandit may have actually been several women, not just one.

5. Barbie Bandits

Heather Johnston and Ashley Miller quickly became known as the “Barbie Bandits” after their February, 2007, holdup of a Bank of America branch in Acworth, Georgia. The girls, who met while working at a strip club, plotted with Johnston’s boyfriend, Michael Chastang and a bank teller to pull off the heist. Miller was sentenced to two years in jail and Johnston to 10 years probation, getting a lighter sentence because she was the first to cooperate with the investigation.

6. Bank Robbin’ Mama

Erica F. Anderson was apparently trying to multitask on the day she was arrested for robbing the Umpqua Bank branch in Grants Pass, Ore., in September, 2010. The 37-year old mother of five pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to robbing two banks in Temecula. That’s when she was sentenced to two years in prison. She was released on $25,000 bail and ordered to surrender to authorities in January.

7. Kate “Ma” Barker

Kate “Ma” Barker (born Arizona Donnie Clark; October 8, 1873 – January 16, 1935) was the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker gang from the “public enemy era”, when the exploits of gangs of criminals in the U.S. Midwest gripped the American people and press. Ma Barker certainly knew of the gang’s activities, and even helped them before and after they committed their crimes. This would make her an accomplice, but there is no evidence that she was ever an active participant in any of the crimes themselves or involved in planning them. Her role was in taking care of gang members, who often sent her to the movies while they committed crimes.

8. Candice R. Martinez

College student Candice R. Martinez was 20 when she was sentenced to 12 years in prison in March, 2006 for robbing four Wachovia bank branches in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. Seven years of that sentence were for pulling a revolver during one of the robberies. Martinez was dubbed the “cell phone bandit” for chatting on the phone with her boyfriend during the heists, which netted the couple $48,620. Martinez, who had worked for Wachovia prior to the robberies, apologized to the bank tellers when she was sentenced.

9. Beauty Salon Bandit

Beauty salon owner Norma Balderas-Dehernandez started holding up New Jersey banks in January, 2009. By May of that year, the mother of three had hit three bank branches, netting a little over $8,000. In each robbery, she’d hand a note written in Spanish to a Spanish-speaking teller, demanding money. he was sentenced in July, 2010 to 30 months in federal prison.

10. Patricia Hearst

Patricia Campbell Hearst Shaw, the granddaughter of publishing titan William Randolph Hearst, made headlines in 1974 when an urban guerrilla group, the Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapped her from her Berkeley, Calif., apartment. Two months later, she was caught on surveillance cameras robbing a San Francisco bank while brandishing an assault rifle, having apparently taken up her captors’ cause. At her trial, her attorney claimed Hearst had been brainwashed by her captors, but the effort didn’t work and she was convicted in March, 1976. She served almost two years before President Jimmy Carter commuted her seven-year sentence. President Bill Clinton granted her a full pardon on the last day of his presidency.
